Hawksbill Crag

Another remarkable place to hike to here in Arkansas is a place called Hawksbill Crag. I recently went there with my boyfriend and a couple of our friends. It’s not a very challenging hike, so it’s great for beginners or someone just looking for a quick trek to a place with an amazing view. It’s a three-mile trail, and the destination is a bluff with a rock formation jutting out of it resembling a hawk’s beak, hence the name. Since we went during the winter, we saw a lot of dead trees and a dried up creek from our rocky perch. However, if you go during the spring, you will be able to see the forest full of life, the creek flowing, and even some waterfalls. I love getting my exercise by hiking. If you’ve never had much of a desire to hike before, I recommend that you give it a shot. Hiking allows you to explore some really beautiful and interesting places all while keeping you active and healthy. If you get tired during a hike, it’s easier to push on than with a normal workout because the destination you’re trying to reach provides something to look forward to. Nature is pretty incredible, so why don’t you take my advice and go explore it? If you’re unfamiliar with Arkansas trails, here’s a list of some to help you pick your first adventuresome hiking destination:http://www.thebackpacker.com/trails/ar/trails.php
